We have been asked by the Department for Education, along with our sister setting The Wincanton Early Years Centre, to be Champion Settings for a new two year Professional Development Programme. This is part of the government initiative to improve outcomes in Literacy, Language, and Mathematics with an emphasis on improving school readiness.

I am delighted to say that Claire Rogers and Kayleigh Green will be training in the Champion roles who will then cascade their knowledge and skills to other settings within Somerset. This is in recognition of our commitment & dedication to helping children reach their full potential over the last 10 years. Claire & Kayleigh are 2 of only 8 practitioners receiving this training in Somerset so we are obviously delighted to have been selected.
